This was our fourth cruise with RCCL and by far my favorite. First, the ship was great. Although when travelling with our children I would prefer the voyager class ships, by ourselves, the smaller ships are definately better. Better service, better food and in general, you feel more like you are on a boat that a floating hotel.

We travelled from Baltimore to Bermuda and I cannot sing enough praises about that port. The ship docked in King's Wharf and remained there for two nights. This port is a bit out of the way from beaches and other sites, but access using the busses and ferries was a breeze. It was about a thirty five minute bus ride to Horshoe Bay and fifty minutes to Hamilton. The ferry was the better route to Hamilton.

Bermuda itself was just lovely. Great beaches, nice towns, the people were friendly and gracious. We loved it so much we booked a return cruise on the Empress of the Seas in 2006!

By far the best dining experience we've had on RCCL. We travelled twice on Navigator and once on Enchantment and Gradeur is the hands down winner! Our food and service was awesome. It was our fifteenth wedding anniversary and our wait staff did such a nice job with helping us celebrate a special moment.

Looking forward to our next cruise with RCCL.

Hi,

I love Royal Caribbean, and I'm an equally big fan of their sister company, Celebrity Cruises; as impressive as each other in different ways! I'd like to suggest that you link to Celebrity as well... the link is:

cheers!

Josh

Thank you, Josh.  I'm publishing your mail here and have added the Celebrity UK site to our Cruise Links on our Embarkation Page.

I was just on the web site and wondered what the name of that reseraunt was. I am going to be visiting the region in July and would love one of those.

Hello Diane,

Are you writing about the ice cream sundae?  That picture was taken at Cafe Les Palmiers which is a short walk from the tender dock.

Enjoy!

At 18 I never thought that I'd be seeing 4 such incredibly diverse places in 7 days. I went on this cruise with a friend and her parents, but we were mostly alone. We traveled to Mexio, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Labadee. The cruise was an exceptional experience, I just wish that there was more down time in between trips. I also wish that I could stay in closer contact with everyone I met. I will never forget it though, and look forward to my next cruise!

Labadee, Haiti

Hi. We are going on a RC cruise in June with a stop at Labadee. Your photos were great! How do I get more info about the port of call? Is it a private island? Is there enough to do if we stay there? Would you recommend a trip into Haiti? Thanks for helping, this is new to me!

Hi Nickie,

Yes, Labadee is one of Royal Caribbean's Private Islands.  Yes, there is a great deal to do there while you are there on your cruise.  There are plenty of water sports, a great luncheon is served, and/or you can just do nothing while lying on the beach or in a hammock.

No, I don't recommend a trip to Haiti independent of the cruise.  Labadee is a separate and secure area of the island that is just for Royal Caribbean passengers.  For travel other than via cruise ship, you may want to check out the U.S. Department of State website for travel warnings and information.

You may want to list your cruise on our Cruisers' Cruise Calendar to meet others who will be on the same cruise as yours.

Have a great cruise and I hope you'll send us a Cruise Review!

Best,

Hey!
I just found this site b/c I was trying to remember the name of the Island. This is an awesome page and a great way to stay in touch with people you meet on the cruise. I'm gonna see if I can catch back up with some of the ones that I met. I'm only 18 and just went by myself with a friend and her parents. We got to do everything alone and it was a great experience that I will never forget; seeing Jamaica, Mexico, The Cayman Islands and Labadee in just 7 days all while returning home on Christmas Eve 2005!!
I'd love to talk to people that did it all too....I'm in St.Augustine, Fl
drop me a line!

Just back from Serende of the Seas. Had a great time but felt the food in dining room was mediocre at best. Enjoyed Chops and Windjammer. Missed not having a Johnny rockets.

Please could you tell me, how far is the cathedral from the port of Messina

Is it within walking distance from the port

Your photographs are great

The Cathedral is within walking distance of the port if you are wearing your walking shoes.  :)  If walking, be very careful when crossing streets.  The traffic there does not stop for pedestrians.  You can also take a taxi.

Thank you for the kind words about the images.  I'm delighted you enjoy them
