These are a few of the images we captured during little more than two hours ashore in
Bar Harbor, Maine.  Our favorite way to explore ports is to walk around on our own
collecting images;  our "image albums" are our favorite souvenirs.  These images were taken with
our Sony Mavica Digital Still Camera MVC-FD71.

Lunch at Galyn's on Main Street gave us an authentic taste of Maine.

The wind was cold, but the sun warm on this crisp autumn day.

Hours and hours of shopping are available here...

...and more than enough places to taste the local specialities.


The Rexall drug store on Main Street had the first real soda fountain
I have seen in twenty years.



All too soon it was time to board the tender to return to Splendour
waiting off shore for her passengers.
