This was our first cruise and we are in love.  I read every review I could find before I ever booked the cruise and decided on Royal Caribbean. We choose Enchantment because of the iternary.

Enbarkment was very quick and easy.  We arrived around 12 noon and practically walked right on. I had read horror stories of long lines but that was not the case with us.

Our cabin was an interior and we were very satisfied.  When we first opened the door we thought how small it was but there was alot of storage and we did not feel crowded at all. The cabin did show a little wear but for no more time than we spent in there it was fine. It was great sleeping at night because it was so dark. At first I wasn't sure about not having a window but than we figured out that one of the tv channels was a live view of the front of the ship.  I would just wake up and turn on the tv to know what the weather was.

Our first day was in Key West.  We really didn't do much there besides walk around the shops and we stopped and had a drink at Captain Tony's Saloon. We thought about taking a tour but it was very hot and we just decided to go back to the ship and sit by the pool.

Day two was Cozumel.  We took the Myan Ruins/X-el Ha combination tour. The ruins were very beautiful and interesting but I would not suggest going there in the summer months.  It was so hot it was hard to enjoy it. X-el Ha was wonderful but our time was too limited.  We snokeled and by the time we changed our clothes, rented our equipment and got in the water we had less than an hour to spend.  No time to explore the park.  I would like to go back sometime when I could spend the entire day.  The other problem with this tour is that there is alot of travel time involved.  First you have to take a fairy(take your damamine if you have a tendancy to get sea sick, it was rough) and then a bus and then back again.  You have 4-5 hours of just traveling.  I'm glad we did the tour but the next time we stop in Cozumel we won't leave the island. It looked like the beaches were beatiful and you hear alot about the shopping.

Day three was Belize City. If you are getting off the ship in Belize you need to do a tour.  They do not have a dock so you get off the ship onto a small boat and then go ashore.  When you first arrive it is very nice in tourist village but go a block in any direction and you will see alot of poverty. My parents did not take a tour and thought they would just walk around but were very disturbed by the proverty and begging. We did take a tour and it was wonderful.  We went cave tubing. It was a rather long and bumpy bus ride(the discription said an hour but it was longer than that). Once you get to the resort(thats what they called it but I'm not sure why)you can change your clothes and you pick up your tube and headlamp and off you go into the jungel.  It was a rather long hike but there were not alot of hills so it wasn't bad. When you arrive at the river you can jump off the cliff or just walk into the water.  We chose to jump but I didn't jump out very far and I did hit bottom.  Once you are in the cave it is awesome.  It is a very slow moving river and it was very beautiful. If you are adventurous this is a wonderful tour. One thing the ship did not advertise about Belize was that there is a casino there.  We did not have time to go but if you like to gamble it might be something to do in Belize.

Day four was a sea.  We spent the day doing all the activities(the slot tournament, the blackjack tourament the horse races) and sitting by the pool.

Our last day was very sad.  We enjoyed everything so much and it was sad to think about going back to the real world.

I tried to write about the things to do more than anything because when I was trying to decide on shore excursions it was very difficult because so many of them sounded good and it was hard to decide. The best thing to do is book your excursions online before you go because the line was always long at the shore excursions desk.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
