This was our first cruise experience. My husband and I are both 40 and have 2 sons, ages 11 and 17.  All four of us took this cruise to the Bahamas and Key West.  The ship is really beautiful and in good condition. My husband and I had a stateroom on deck 5 with a window which I highly recommend.  The rooms are small but adequate and are cleaned twice daily by your attendant. We really enjoyed the evening meals in the dining room (Maytime).  Each meal we had was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our waiter.  He was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The other food was not quite up to the standard we'd expected.  Mostly the same items served buffet style, not great. The entertainment was enjoyable.  I recommend "The Beat Goes On" in the Chorus Line Lounge.  We read somewhere that a rock wall was being installed on the Majesty in June and were disappointed when no one we asked seemed to have a clue about this.  Our 17 year old was looking forward to trying it out. We enjoyed our shore excursions but felt they were overpriced, especially the "Discover Atlantis and Beach Break" in the Bahamas.  I would recommend just scouting around and checking out things on your own. CoCo Cay was nice but not what we expected.  The last comment I would make is that we really didn't like the fact that you are nickeland dimed to death on a cruise.  We much prefer Cancun all inclusive vacation that we took in 2001.  Our 6 nights there with 2 tours, all meals, drinks, and non-motorized water toys were included and no tipping was necessary for a cheaper price than this 4 night cruise (including shore excursions).  I have always wanted to try a cruise and am glad I did, but don't know that I would do it again.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
