fantastic!  great ship, wonderful waiter, head waiter, assistant waiter, cabinboy, coffee attendant, great entertainment.  thought prices for bingo were a little high, but did it once...did everything at least once!  didn't miss anything.

1.  assistant waitress...jana, a real gem, everyone wanted to take her home with them, very delightful young lady, couldn't do enough for you.

2.  head waitress...shirley, very gracious young lady, excellant.

3.  only bad experience....young lady filling in behind "guest relations" counter...not a good attitude.  went to book a tour, said was sold out, asked if could put name on standby list, said yes, but never wrote names down, asked for information about panama canal cruise, was told "look it up on tv or internet".  Later she was overheard getting into a shouting match with a cruise passenger.

went to stateroom, used tv and clicked on tour we wanted, and it was not sold out and we were able to book it.  advised young man who normally  works the guest relations desk of events, he apologized and was most helpful.  he was aware of problems with the girl filling in for him...several complaints about her.

4.  even taking into consideration the aftermath of 9/11 and the need for heightened security.....on the return trip...the airport at san juan is not capable of handling the amount of traffic it receives from the cruise lines.  3 hour + waits in line...only 2 ticket agents.  Yet they had 7 security guys who watched luggage go down the conveyor. besides shooting the breeze...that's all they did was watch the luggage.  Delta and US Air both need more ticket agents, or else the cruise lines needs to change ports.  Will not travel to san juan again.  Town may be nice to see, but the people and airport is just typical U S inter city who's only luck has been to have the cruise lines dock there.  without the cruise industry there..it would be just another ghetto.

5.  suggest doing away with "formal nights"...most people, on vacation, really don't want to get dressed up...and it would save on alot of extra baggage.

6.  cuise lines...in the wonderful booklet "guest vacation documents"...should put in something about the purchase of tobacco and liquer...keep it separate and with receipts, so if someone buys 5 cartons with receipt they don't have any problems with customs..friend traveling with us packed the cartons and had thrown away the receipt...had to pay taxes.

7.  wonderful trip, fantastic memories. planning our next one, and would highly recommed royal caribbean lines.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports.
