This was our first cruise, we were told to book a short one, just in case cruising didn't agree with us.  We got a really reasonable fare, interior cabin.  Who cares, you're not in the cabin except to change clothes and sleep.  I had read every review I could about the ship prior, and saw very good comments and very bad comments, so I went on with an open mind.  I didn't have to worry.  From the second we came over the hill at the cape and saw her, we were in love with the Sovereign of the Seas!!!  Our cabin was clean and perfectly adequate, Curtis, our cabin guy, extended us every courtesy.  Our dining room service was outstanding, as was the food.  The ship was clean, everyone was so nice.  I never felt crowded, there was plenty to do.  In Nassau, we got a taxi and the driver gave us a tour of the island. At Coco Cay, we opted to stay on the boat, and enjoyed a day at the pool.  The weather was beautiful, the seas were calm with the exception of the trip back to the Cape...the boat rocked a bit (weather), but I still slept like a baby and it wouldn't stop me from sailing again.  In fact, we will probably take the 4-day Sovereign trip next winter.  The only thing I can figure with the people that were dissatisfied with the ship and staff, is that those people are probably NEVER satisfied with anything.  I truly, can only smile when I think of our awesome 3 days at sea on the Sovereign!!!

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
