I am about to go on my third cruise. I'm 18, and this cruise is my last with my family. Kind of a senior gift/spring break thing. Anyways, back to my last cruise. We left on a Friday, and I got out of school about 2 hours earlier than we got out. We picked up my bro, and met my aunt, uncle, and cousin at a hotel nearby Indianapolis. We flew out of Indy, and into Miami. Luckily, I found a hotel in Miami for a really good price. And with my Traveler's Advantage membership, we got a buy one night, get one free. So, we bought a night, that Friday night. The free night was to be used when we got off the cruise. The hotel we stayed at provided free transportation service to and from the cruise ports. At about 9:30 a.m., we left the hotel and arrived at the port. Our bags were promptly taken, and put on a trolley, where a man followed us to the place where we signed in.

*Hint: Make sure you previously put your ship baggage tags on. This way, you don't have to hold up the line, trying to count your bags, and worrying that you missed one*

Since this was my second cruise, my parents suggested I sign up for the Crown & Anchor. So I did. My parents had cruised twice before (without me) so they went in another line. We only waited for about 15 minutes in the line.

I decided to treat my self to a drink card because I got really thirsty sometimes, and wanted to get a drink. Unfortunately, the drink prices are outrageous: $1.50 for a can of pop! After we acscended the stairs, our picture was taken, and we were greeted with a smile. We crossed the bridge, and walked onto the ship. It was a great welcoming. We went to our rooms, and within an hour and a half, our bags were there. Since I was 18, and considered an adult, I went around the ship, exploring a bit. The ship was very clean and tidy, and people were constantly asking me if they could help me in any way. I met up with some girls who lived about an hour away from me. I guess they knew one of my friends, so we all had something in common.

Anyways, the food was great, just as always. I found out a little trick you can use if you can't decide between two entrees, or appetizers, or even desserts. I was trying to decide between BBQ Duck Enchiladas and Lobster tails. After debating the two choices, my waiter asked me if I wanted both. It was fantastic. I've never had so much great food.

The service there was awesome, as before. The only drawback was the alcoholic drink servers who approached me numerous times on the deck, asking if I wanted a $4.75 margarita, or a $5.25 "Bahama Mama." It kind of got annoying.

Overall, I would give this cruise a 4 out of 4. I had an awesome time. I can't wait to see what the Vision of the Seas has in store for me.
