This was my 18th RCCL cruise. This ship did not meet
my previous experiences. The food was booring and never served hot. RCCL was
always known for their beef and this was not up to there standards. The service
in the dining room was slow. The head waiter is now the wine steward and we
waited 45 minutes for our order to be taken because he was busy serving the
wine to his three tables. The assistant waiter was more intent on serving
the bread from his basket than serving water or helping the waiter. The staff
was never very helpful and it seemed as if there were not enough staff to
accommadate all the passengers. The ship was very untidy--there were always
bar glasses and dishes lying aroung.
The rules for the adult only areas ie. The solarium pool always had young
children in the pool. At night there were numerous teens running about til
all hours of the morning. More activities should have been planned for them.
On the positive side, the entertainment was very good. The New Years eve party
was a blast-- very well done for all ages.
I know RCCL now has many ships and do hope that their standards are not slipping.
