My husband & I arrived at the port at about 10:30am. We waited outside in the sun until 11:30. At that point we were allowed into the large interior waiting room where RCCL had put ice water and cookies out for all of us to help cool us off. We started boarding at about 1. We were very eager to see our balcony room on the 6th deck close to the elevators. It was beautiful. Since we were on this trip for the relaxation, we couldn't have gotten much better than this room. We slept wonderfully on this cruise. Our room attendant was very nice and made the cute towel animals for us every night.

We ate in the same places almost every day. Breakfast in the Windjammer(mostly the same foods each day), snacks in the Cafe Promenade(pizza, sandwiches and desserts), and dinner in the main dining room. We were blessed with excellent tablemates. 3 other couples that helped make dinners very fun. Evelyn and Veldon were our waiter and asst. waiter. They did a fabulous job spoiling us. Every place we ate was good. If eating in the Windjammer, try the omelets made to order.

We thought the ship itself was beautiful. We enjoyed the photo gallery, Jesters nightclub(my hubby competed for the best moonwalk on 80's night), Solarium area, and any place that gave us those gorgeous views of the caribbean.

St. Lucia is by far the most gorgeous of the ports, but we enjoyed all of them(except St. Maarten due to street construction). In Antigua and St. Lucia we hired local tour guides and they were great. In Barbados we bought an excursion from the ship to swim w/ turtles and go to a shipwreck. The turtles were a highlight of the trip but the shipwreck was realy just a barge they sunk to attract fish. The rum punches with the local guides were not as good as the ship-based tour guides, fyi.

Leaving the ship was our least pleasant time. Not just because our trip was ending but because it took a long time and we were in line after line awaiting customs, baggage claim lines, taxi lines, airport check-in etc. San Juan was recovering from a hurricane so they had been without power for the last three days. We had to find our bags in the unlit warehouse.

We enjoyed our cruise a great deal and will go again on this cruise line.

Cruise reviews can be extremely helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write and tell us about it by using our special form here.  Sincere thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have the benefit of shared information and experiences.
