Subject: Review - Enchantment of the Seas - July 7 - 11, 2005
This was our 45th cruise, 32nd on RCCL, and 7th on the
Enchantment --- and in a word, it was 'enchanting.'. We loved the ship before
she was strectched, and she's a real beauty now. Despite the delightful physical
changes in the ship, the crew, staff and officers remained caring, friendly
and helpful.
We were on the first cruise after the stretching -
so we didn't expect perfection, but were pleasantly surprised that all was
running very well. We left Cape Liberty - had a day at sea, a stop in Halifax,
back at sea, and then into Cape Liberty. The weather wasn't the best, but
we enjoyed exploring the new ship and had fun seeing all the new enhancements.
We didn't bungey jump - will save that for the next time.
The changes to the Windjammer are great - food stations
instead of a buffet. Easy to maneuver, and though the ship was full, it never
seemed crowded.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were flawless -
a little different that going out of Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, but the pierside
staff had the process worked out well.
We enjoyed both the food and the entertainment - far
better than we have at home, and we had a sense that everyone on the ship
was doing their very best to assure we had a great cruise experience. We did,
and can't wait to go back.
Cruise reviews can be extremely
helpful to new and experienced cruisers by giving the cruise vacation
consumer's view of various RCCL ships and ports. If you've sailed aboard
an RCCL ship, we hope you'll write
and tell us about it by using our special form here. Sincere
thanks to those who take the time to do this so that others can have
the benefit of shared information and experiences.
